A Very Beautiful Vancouver

I couldn't resist not posting this one last shot of Vancouver.....Just beautiful!

Vansterdam, otherwise known as Vancouver

I know my first post pretty much bitched about being on the East Coast.....what can I say I'm a west coast girl at heart!  So it was with great pleasure that we were able to begin the new year on a two week jet setting vacation!!  The flight across the U.S. always takes longer than I think.....We watched the sun go down and super cool cloud formations form.  This one was taken from the airplane.

It was about a 12 hour travel day to get us to Vancouver, but we made it and were very happy to be on VACATION!

We spent some time walking around the city.  Lights were still up for the holidays!

Amazing street art filled the alley's.
This one, of many, caught my eye!

Andrew more than willing to do a jump shot for me!

As much as I am not a city girl, I still love wandering around, people watching, and taking it all in....Vancouver especially.  The tall glass buildings, the city slick fashions, and wonderful people have always made my trips truly enjoyable.

And don't forget to
Always Be Swooping!

Year One of the New Blog

A new year, a  new life, and certainly new adventures!  As most of you know I have landed in Washington, DC - which really wasn't my first choice.....But then, you never know where life may take you!  It has taken some time, some ups and downs, and some struggles, but I have finally reached a place where I feel somewhat content, and can see the humor in my surroundings instead of feeling bitter on a daily basis.....(I wouldn't recommend that approach, it takes up tooooo much energy!)  So, I thought it was in my best interest to create a new place, a new blog, to report on my new urban adventures.

As we move forward into the new year, I look forward to new challenges, new thoughts, new friends, and new surroundings.  May we all move openly forward and accept with ease the directions in which life takes us!!  And, like I said, please excuse the sarcasm, it's meant to be funny!  Happy New Year everyone...welcome the year of the Dragon!!!
